We love these raw gemstone studs. They remind us of the mineral collections we had as children, only they're wearable! If you have enough piercings, you can collect them all, and your ears will be transformed into miniature exhibits on par with those at the Natural History Museum. Each raw gemstone is prong-set in rich 14 karat gold. We sell these studs individually, so that you can mix and match, so please note that this listing is for a single stud. Choose from a veritable rainbow of colorful natural wonders. Pictured from left to right in the third image are the ruby stud, the chrysoprase stud, the emerald stud, the amazonite stud, the tourmaline stud, and the lapis stud. Also available but not pictured are studs in Australian opal, black jade, blue sapphire, tanzanite and diamond. Each stud features a one of a kind rough-cut stone, but they are all roughly 1/4" in diameter.
Variance Objects is a jewelry line that embraces and celebrates the natural beauty of raw materials. Santa Cruz designer Nicole Rimedio has a passion for sourcing the most unusual rough gemstones and mineral specimens. Her organic metalwork is designed to showcase the unique features of the stones. Rimedio works in oxidized sterling silver, yellow, rose and white gold, which she often combines to form multi-hued and fascinatingly textured alloys.
