This table lamp is not only beautiful to look at; it's also really fun to turn on and off. The touch sensor that operates the lamp is fabricated from a vintage decorative brass owl, dating from the 1950s. Simply touch the owl lightly and watch the large Edison bulb light up. The lamp has three brightness settings: touch it once for a dim glow, twice for a medium glow, and three times for full wattage. The bulb screws into a porcelain socket. The bulb and the brass owl sensor rest atop a handsome handcrafted wood base. The lamp is finished with a retro cloth-covered cord. The lamp measures approximately 9.5" long, 4.5" wide and 8.5" high. One large globe-shaped "Edison" filament bulb is included with the lamp.
